Abstract
Social and supplementary insurances, with regard to the improvement of the quality of services provided in Iranian law, help the health of women during the reproductive period and this right is a part of human rights and they have accepted it in the way that couples have the right to make decisions about giving birth to children, spacing and access to safe and healthy health facilities with the support of the government. The purpose of this research is to outline the role of insurance protection laws in women's health in Iran with emphasis on international conventions. The findings indicate that according to the amendment law of 16/8/2023, in the implementation of part (5), clause (K) of the single article of the Iran Budget Law of 2020-2021 of the whole country, all centers and hospitals that provide infertility examination, diagnosis and treatment services They are obliged to conclude contracts with basic insurance organizations and provide supplementary infertility insurance services. Investigations show that we have not yet achieved the desired results in implementing the goals of the 1994 Cairo Conference regarding women's health during pregnancy and abortion prevention measures and it is hoped that this will become possible by facilitating access to these measures for the target community. With the approval of protective and insurance laws in the society and the support of the government, as well as in the facilitation and availability of safe health facilities in hospitals and medical clinics, it is possible to prevent unsafe abortions and increase knowledge and awareness and remove legal obstacles and protective regarding abortion that has problems (genetic and disability), we provide great help to women's health and encourage them to be fertile.
